62641 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter April to June 2024 to ‘Proactively assess, treat and manage patients with long-term conditions’ under Outcome 4: New Zealanders have better cancer survival, supportive care and end-of-life care, as part of the New Zealand Cancer Action Plan 2019 – 2029?
Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that during this quarter (April to June 2024) work across the wider health sector included: • A breastscreening pilot has commenced that will connect with Māori and Pacific women through primary and secondary healthcare services • Scaling up cancer care coordination services in selected communities • A cross-agency working group has been established to better understand the current state of public funding for rongoā services.
