62527 (2024). Ingrid Leary to the Minister for Mental Health: What are the new investments that the Health New Zealand Te Whatu Ora Mental Health & Addiction Workforce Plan 2024-2027 refers to regarding continuing to grow the consumer, peer support and lived experience (CPSLE) workforce, in line with new investments starting this year?

Hon Matt Doocey: I am advised that the two actions in the Health New Zealand Workforce Development Plan relating to the consumer peer support lived experience (CPSLE) workforce are: - Funding NZQF level 4 training for 90 additional CPSLE workers annually; and, - Developing advance practice roles for peer support workers as part of the Peers in ED trial.
