Hon Erica Stanford: Programmes of learning that are linked to the New Zealand Qualifications and Credentials Framework (NZQCF) and registered as qualifications or micro-credentials have a number of advantages. They provide clarity about the level (complexity) of learning, the duration of learning and generate student record of learning information. These factors can assist with the recognition of learning for staircasing into other qualifications or to help make the learning more understandable to employers or other stakeholders.
