62499 (2024). Teanau Tuiono to the Minister for Oceans and Fisheries: Why is the rollout of on-board cameras not able to be completed by the original deadline of end of February 2025?

Hon Shane Jones: The rollout of cameras on commercial fishing vessels will continue but the timeframes will be extended by three months to allow time to complete the installations. More time was required to consider on-board cameras in the context of a wider set of proposals for reform of the fisheries regime.
