62492 (2024). Shanan Halbert to the Minister of Transport: What updates, if any, can the Minister provide regarding the timeline for advancing his 'priority transport initiatives' in Auckland?

Hon Simeon Brown: As the Member will be aware, our Government is moving at pace to get transport back on track in Auckland. Already, we have delivered a 74% funding boost for pothole prevention in Auckland and increased funding for public transport services and operations in Auckland by 42%. We are also moving at pace to deliver a new generation of Roads of National Significance (RoNS), with Auckland’s Mill Road and Warkworth to Wellsford RoNS expected to begin procurement, enabling works and construction in the next three years.
