62478 (2024). Shanan Halbert to the Minister of Transport: What advice, if any, has the Minister received about the potential consequences of Jamie Arbuckle’s members’ bill that seeks to disestablish Auckland Transport, by date and title?

Hon Simeon Brown: I have not received any advice on the potential consequences of this Member’s bill. As I said in my letter to you on 9 July, I am currently working with Mayor Brown on potential options for increased accountability and Council oversight of Auckland Transport. Our Government has committed to get Auckland moving again by ensuring that there is accountability and delivering the transport infrastructure that our city needs.
