62451 (2024). Ricardo Menéndez March to the Minister for Social Development and Employment: What is the top 10% percentile waiting time that it takes to receive a face to face appointment at Work and Income, for each quarter and region over the last three years?
Hon Louise Upston: I refer the Member to the attached tables:
• Table One: The average number of working days for the top 10 percentile of clients to receive a face-to-face appointment during the period 1 July 2021 to 30 June 2024, broken down by region and quarter.
• Table Two: The average number of working days for a client to receive a face-to-face appointment during the period 1 July 2021 to 30 June 2024, broken down by region and quarter.
• Table Three: The median number of working days for a client to receive a face-to-face appointment during the period 1 July 2021 to 30 June 2024, broken down by region and quarter.
I am advised by the Ministry of Social Development (the Ministry) that the data contains a consolidated view of appointment types. This includes reactive appointments such as hardship or emergency housing that are booked at a client’s request and are attached to service level agreements, and proactive appointments, which are arranged by Ministry staff, that can be booked up to 28 working days ahead of time.
This is also my answer to written parliamentary question 62452 (2024) and 62453 (2024).
