Hon Mark Mitchell: Set out below is the amount of funding eligible councils applied for from the Budget 2024 initiative to support the acceleration of the recovery efforts following the severe weather events of 2023: Auckland Council $11,548,600 Gisborne District Council $5,261,050 Hawke’s Bay Regional Council $2,360,000 Hastings District Council $1,470,000 Central Hawke’s Bay District Council $700,000 Wairoa District Council $380,000 Western Bay of Plenty Council $820,000 Bay of Plenty Regional Council $613,000 Kaipara District Council $596,720 Far North District Council $220,000 Thames-Coromandel District Council $300,000 Tararua District Council $220,000 Applications were reviewed and funding allocated based on meeting eligibility criteria.
