62362 (2024). Kahurangi Carter to the Minister for Children: How many children, if any, have chosen to pull out of the pilot military-style academy in Palmerston North since it started?

Hon Karen Chhour: I am advised by Oranga Tamariki that there are no children participating in the Military-Style Academy Pilot. Note the Oranga Tamariki Act defines ‘child’ as a person under the age of 14 years. I am further advised that one young person has opted not to continue with the Pilot for personal reasons.
