62361 (2024). Kahurangi Carter to the Minister for Children: How many children, if any, still remain in the pilot military-style academy in Palmerston North?

Hon Karen Chhour: I am advised by Oranga Tamariki that there are no children participating in the Military-Style Academy Pilot. Note the Oranga Tamariki Act defines ‘child’ as a person under the age of 14 years. Ten young males aged 15 to 17 (at the time of offending) are participating in the Pilot.
