62345 (2024). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Education: How much has the Ministerial Advisory Group (MAG) on the English and mathematics and statistics learning areas cost so far, and how much money has been budgeted for this financial year?

Hon Erica Stanford: The total cost of the establishment and operating of the Ministerial Advisory Group for the period December 2023 to June 2024 is approximately $93,000.00. This figure includes member fees, costs associated with probity checks, and meeting costs such as travel, accommodation, venue hire and catering. The Ministerial Advisory Group was funded through the reprioritisation of existing funding for the Curriculum Change Programme. The Ministerial Advisory Group was disestablished in June 2024, therefore no budget has been allocated for the 2024/25 financial year.
