62313 (2024). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Transport: How many restructures, change processes or proposals, or any other sort of organisational process which led to reshuffling responsibilities or laying off employees has the Minister's department's had, if any, since 27 November 2023?

Hon Simeon Brown: MoT: I am advised that since 27 November 2023, 1 change process (Major Projects) has been completed which led to reshuffling responsibilities at the Ministry of Transport. The Ministry is currently consulting on 2 change proposals (Insights, Data & Evaluation and New Zealand Search and Rescue Secretariat). Under these proposals, positions are proposed to be disestablished, as well as new positions established. Some responsibilities are proposed to be shifted to the proposed new positions, or other areas of the organisation. CAA: I am advised that since 27 November 2023, two change processes have been completed at the Civil Aviation Authority – Corporate Services Change, final decision taken in December 2023, and Investigation and Response Unit Change, final decision taken in July 2024. NZTA: I am advised that between 27 November 2023 and 25 September 2024, NZTA undertook 15 change processes that led to reshuffling responsibilities or laying off employees.
