Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Social Development and Employment: How many restructures, change processes or proposals, or any other sort of organisational process which led to reshuffling responsibilities or laying off employees has the Minister's department's had, if any, since 27 November 2023?

Hon Louise Upston: I am advised by the Ministry of Social Development (the Ministry) that between 27 November 2023 and 25 September 2024, they ran nine change processes. In addition, the Ministry ran a voluntary redundancy process in April 2024. I am further advised that the five change processes from November 2023 to May 2024 focussed on re-organising teams within business groups to deliver services. No employees were confirmed as redundant during this period. The four change processes in June 2024 resulted in a net reduction of 86 filled positions. In April 2024, 217 requests for voluntary redundancy were accepted.
