62282 (2024). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for the Environment: How many restructures, change processes or proposals, or any other sort of organisational process which led to reshuffling responsibilities or laying off employees has the Minister's department's had, if any, since 27 November 2023?
Hon Penny Simmonds: I am advised that the Ministry for the Environment has initiated one change process – Operating Model Phase 2. This programme incorporated the following: 1. Voluntary redundancy: a) Two rounds – prior to consultation and during consultation and selection. 2. Consultation on proposed Resetting of the Ministry (Operating Model Phase 2). 3. Decisions document - resetting of the Ministry. 4. Selection and appointments: a) Expression of Preference (EOP) for affected permanent staff across specific selection pools – referred to internally as EOP across cohorts. b) Expression of Interest (EOI) open to all staff, regardless of cohort or employment type.
