62278 (2024). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Defence: How many restructures, change processes or proposals, or any other sort of organisational process which led to reshuffling responsibilities or laying off employees has the Minister's department's had, if any, since 27 November 2023?

Hon Judith Collins: No such processes have been undertaken by the Ministry of Defence. On 17 July 2024, the Chief of Defence Force announced that expressions of interest for voluntary redundancy of NZDF civilian staff would be received; and on 19 September 2024, the Chief of Defence Force announced that a review of the NZDF’s current structure will be undertaken in order to identify further ways to make savings.
