62245 (2024). Dr Tracey McLellan to the Minister of Corrections: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter July - September 2024 in implementing the goal ‘Maintain physical health of older people through activities that reduce the risk of falls in older people', as part of the Ageing Well Action Plan?

Hon Mark Mitchell: Further to my response to WPQ 22916 (2024), which advised that this action in Corrections’ Ageing Well Action Plan is complete, I am advised that Corrections is consulting with ACC about the implementation of falls-preventions programmes across the prison network such as strength and balance classes. I am further advised that Corrections is also investigating improved access to fracture liaison services to reduce ongoing risks associated with fragility fractures. This is also my response to WPQ 62250 (2024).
