62244 (2024). Dr Tracey McLellan to the Minister of Corrections: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter July - September 2024 in implementing the goal ‘All older people are offered timely and through health assessment to maintain their health and wellbeing', as part of the Ageing Well Action Plan?
Hon Mark Mitchell: Further to the work undertaken in the quarter January-March 2024 as per my response to WPQ 22915 (2024), I am advised that a trial within some prisons of the Ageing Well assessment plan which includes assessments for falls risk, skin integrity and cognition alongside newly developed support/intervention plans is expected to commence by the end of 2024.
I am further advised that feedback from this trial will be incorporated into the assessment tool prior to the new electronic Patient Management System, which it uses to record and monitor the health and wellbeing of people in prison, going live in 2025.
This is also my response to WPQ 62248 (2024).
