61958 (2024). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Finance: How many square meters of office space, if any, does the Minister's department currently possess in the Wellington City Council area, if any?

Hon Nicola Willis: The Treasury leases 8,419.5 sqm2 at 1 The Terrace. Currently 1,561.1 sqm2 is subleased to another Government agency. On 1 March 2024, Treasury acquired The Productivity Commission office as part of the disestablishment of the agency. This office is 535 sqm2. The Reserve Bank of New Zealand – Te Pūtea Matua (RBNZ) owns premises comprising 13,169 sqm of net lettable area (office space) in Wellington. RBNZ occupies 6,734sqm of the net lettable area. This excludes building plant, operations and services areas managed by RBNZ Property.
