61929 (2024). Teanau Tuiono to the Minister for Oceans and Fisheries: Will the Minister support fully implementing New Zealand's international obligations related to fishing, including regional conservation and management measures such as South Pacific Regional Fisheries Management Organisation (SPRFMO) Conservation and Management Measures (CMMs) 03-2023, and agreements like United Nations General Assembly Resolution 61/105 (2006) which relates to sustainable fisheries and if not why not?

Hon Shane Jones: New Zealand fulfils its international obligations and commitments related to fishing. I note that CMMs in regional fisheries management organisations (RFMOs) are discussed and amended by their Members on a regular basis at annual Commission Meetings.
