61887 (2024). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Tertiary Education and Skills: How many square meters of office space, if any, does the Minister's department currently possess in the Wellington City Council area, if any?

Hon Penny Simmonds: The Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) currently leases 4,002 sqm of office space in the Wellington City Council area (810 sqm of this is sub-let to another agency and contributes towards the government’s fiscal savings targets in Budget 24). I am advised by Education New Zealand that it leases 702 square metres of office space in Wellington. For the Ministry of Education and the New Zealand Qualifications Authority, I refer the Member to Minister Stanford’s response to written parliamentary question 61948 (2024).
