61793 (2024). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Social Development and Employment: What current policies, if any, does the Minister's department, if any, have on working from home or flexible working arrangements?

Hon Louise Upston: I am advised by the Ministry of Social Development (the Ministry) that the Ministry develops its own policies and guidance in consultation with its employees and union partners. It has a Flexible Working Policy as well as a Reasonable Accommodation in Employment Policy that deal with flexible work practices including formal and informal working from home arrangements. Furthermore, I am advised by the Ministry of Social Development that they also have a ‘Health Safety and Security when working from home’ guide that gives employees an overview of what to consider from a Health, Safety and Security perspective when working from home.
