Hon Louise Upston: I am advised by the Ministry of Social Development (the Ministry) that the Flexible Work Policy is being refreshed as part of our ongoing commitment to maintaining a fit for purpose approach that meets the needs of the organisation, team and then individual. Originally implemented in 2020 following Public Service Commission guidance, the approach to refreshing this policy has included feedback from Ministry managers and employees, dedicated working and steering groups with union representation, and Employee Led Networks to ensure its consistent application and effectiveness.
