61712 (2024). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Land Information: Prior to 16 September, what work, if any, has the Minister's departments, if any, done to scope or evaluate work from home policies?

Hon Chris Penk: I understand that Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) developed a flexible working policy and guidelines that operationalised flexible-by-default as a result of the Public Service Commission (PSC) 2020 Flexible Working guidance. In late 2022 LINZ started a review of the flexible working policy following updated guidance from PSC to ensure that the policy remained aligned to the ways of working post Covid-19 and that LINZ continued to meet the needs of its people. The renewed policy was published in June 2023.
