61670 (2024). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Health: How many employees are in the Minister's departments, if any?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised as at 25 September 2024, there were 715 employees (694.11 FTE) at the Ministry of Health. This is based on both permanent and temporary employees. This figure excludes the Cancer Control Agency (which is a departmental agency hosted by the Ministry), contractors and consultants, external secondments into the Ministry, or employees on parental leave, long term leave without pay, or casual agreements.
