61659 (2024). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Finance: Prior to 16 September, what work, if any, has the Minister's departments, if any, done to scope or evaluate work from home policies?

Hon Nicola Willis: The Treasury regularly reviews its policies. The last review of the Flexible Work Policy was completed in May 2023 and no changes were made at that time. In July 2024, the Reserve Bank of New Zealand – Te Pūtea Matua (RBNZ) commenced a review of its working from home policy. This included initial information gathering, including data, research and trends on best practice working from home practices, and case studies for similar organisations. This information will be used to inform the development of an updated flexible working policy.
