61651 (2024). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Finance: How many employees are in the Minister's departments, if any?

Hon Nicola Willis: The Treasury had a Headcount of 617 (for 601.9 FTE) as of the 25th of September 2024. This number includes active permanent and fixed term employees, including employees seconded out of the Treasury. The number excludes people on long term leave and people seconded into the Treasury. As at 31 August 2024 the Reserve Bank of New Zealand – Te Pūtea Matua (RBNZ) had 627 employees.
