61633 (2024). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Education: Prior to 16 September, what work, if any, has the Minister's departments, if any, done to scope or evaluate work from home policies?

Hon Erica Stanford: It is my expectation that Education agencies regularly monitor and update their operational policies to reflect guidance issued by Te Kawa Mataaho | the Public Service Commission. I am advised by the Ministry of Education that it’s Flexible Work Policy was last updated on 22 June 2021. I am advised by the Education Review Office it’s working from home policy was last updated on 1 May 2023. I am advised by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority that it’s policy on flexible working practices was reviewed in April 2024.
