61544 (2024). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Tertiary Education and Skills: What current policies, if any, does the Minister's department, if any, have on working from home or flexible working arrangements?

Hon Penny Simmonds: The Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) has a Flexible Work Policy and Flexible Work Guidance and Procedures updated in March 2024. The Guidance refers to the type of flexible work arrangements of which working from home is one arrangement. As a global organisation working across multiple time zones, Education New Zealand has a flexible working and flexible leave policy. This policy covers several flexible working options that provide flexibility around hours, days, place, and composition of work.
