61499 (2024). Shanan Halbert to the Minister of Transport: What update, if any, can the Minister provide on the preferred system approach for congestion charging in Auckland?

Hon Simeon Brown: The Government's current focus is on the legislative framework to enable time of use schemes. Specific details of a possible Auckland scheme and how it is implemented will be a matter for Auckland Council and the NZ Transport Agency to consider if they decide to progress development of a scheme once legislation is in place.
