61492 (2024). Chlöe Swarbrick to the Minister of Finance: What work, if any, is the Treasury undertaking to respond to the Parliamentary Commissioner for the Environment's attempts to drive better performance reporting about environmental spend?

Hon Nicola Willis: The Parliamentary Commissioner for the Environment (PCE) has made recommendations about the information that contributes to Budget decision-making and reporting on expenditure. The Treasury has implemented some of these recommendations. This Government and the Treasury are committed to driving better performance reporting, and the Treasury has a work programme focused on this. The response to PCE’s recommendations on reporting on environmental expenditure will be undertaken through the wider work programme on performance reporting, rather than through a separate piece of work.
