61450 (2024). Ricardo Menéndez March to the Minister of Immigration: How many, if any, Accredited Employer Worker Visa (AEWV) applications have been declined since April 2024 because the applicant did not meet the English language requirement for level 4 and 5 roles?

Hon Erica Stanford: I am advised that as at 25 September 2024, a total of 21 Accredited Employer Work Visa applications have been declined since 1 April 2024 because the applicant did not meet the English language requirement for level 4 and 5 roles. Of the 21 declined applications, only three applications were declined solely for not meeting the English language requrements. The remainder were declined for multiple reasons including not meeting the English language requirement.
