61128 (2024). Camilla Belich to the Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery: What aides-mémoire, briefings, memos, notes, reports, or any other advice, if any, has the Minister or their Office received during the week beginning 16 September 2024, listed by agency, title and date received?
Hon Mark Mitchell: As the Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery, I regularly request and receive advice from officials on matters relating to my Emergency Management and Recovery portfolio.
I received the following documents from officials in the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and the Chief Executive, Cyclone Recovery between 16-20 September 2024 (inclusive):
• Meeting with Farmers Mutual Group (FMG), 16 September 2024
• NEMA Fortnightly Status Report to the Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery, 20 September 2024
• Regional recovery structure capability funding: Second report back, 20 September 2024.
I received two documents on 18 September 2024. It is not in the public interest to release their titles.
I also received from officials in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet three documents within the specific time frame, the titles of which are not in the public interest to be released at this time.
In addition, jointly with the Prime Minister, I received the following document on 18 September 2024: North Island Weather Events: Weekly Progress Update on Categorisation and Buyouts, Sediment and Debris.
I also received jointly with the Minister for the Environment and the Minister Responsible for the RMA Reform the following document on 19 September 2024: Responding to request from Hawke’s Bay Regional Recovery Agency on options for addressing risk on Category 3 land.
