60679 (2024). Rt Hon Chris Hipkins to the Prime Minister: What aides-mémoire, briefings, memos, notes, reports, or any other advice, if any, has the Minister or their Office received during the week beginning 16 September 2024, listed by agency, title and date received?
Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: As Prime Minister, I regularly request and receive advice from officials on a range of matters. I received the following documents for the Prime Minister portfolio from my officials in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC) between 16 -20 September 2024: • Target Quarterly Report Summary for June 2024, 16 September 2024 • Prime Minister’s Weekly Brief, 20 September 2024 • Meeting with The King’s Trust Aotearoa New Zealand, 20 September 2024. I also received two documents on 17 September 2024, one document on 19 September 2024, and three documents on 20 September 2024. It is not in the public interest to release the titles of these documents. Jointly with the Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery I received the following document - North Island Weather Events: Weekly Progress Update on Categorisation and Buyouts, Sediment and Debris 18 September 2024. I have received briefings from the Policy Advisory Group, a business unit of DPMC, during the requested timeframe however I am not releasing the titles of these briefings. In addition, staff in my office may informally receive documents, including draft documents, from my officials in DPMC and from other agencies, and from Ministers’ offices. This information is not held in a format that can be easily extracted within the time frame.
