60239 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What is the anticipated date of completion of the ‘deliver’ project phase of ‘Project Whakatuputupu - New Dunedin Hospital’, as part of Te Whatu Ora’s Infrastructure and Investment projects, as at 23 September 2024?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised the anticipated practical completion for the Outpatient Building project is July 2026. I am further advised that the anticipated practical completion date for the Inpatient Building project will be confirmed once options analysis is complete. Please note, forecasted completion dates may be subject to change based on various factors, including system/cost pressures, necessary approvals, etc. There are key stage gates where accuracy of an estimate is enhanced, these are generally at business case decision, at the end of each design phase and main contract award.
