Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, was made in the quarter April to June 2024 to ‘Develop a detailed cancer data and information plan’ under Outcome 1: New Zealanders have a system that delivers consistent and modern cancer care, as part of the New Zealand Cancer Action Plan 2019 – 2029?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that during this quarter (April to June 2024), that a successful proof of concept has been completed for CanShare, demonstrating the ability to nationally share, in near real-time, standardised cancer treatment data.
