Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, was made in the quarter April to June 2024 to ‘Develop and implement people- and whānau-centred care guidelines’ under Outcome 2: New Zealanders experience equitable cancer outcomes, as part of the New Zealand Cancer Action Plan 2019 – 2029?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that during the April to June 2024 quarter, Health New Zealand undertook developmental work on the Abnormal Uterine Bleeding pathway and Faecal Immunochemical Testing (FIT) for Symptomatic pathway, which are both focused on providing patient and whānau centred care.
