60170 (2024). Kahurangi Carter to the Minister for Children: What is the acceptable caseload of a care and protection social worker?

Hon Karen Chhour: I am advised by Oranga Tamariki that they do not have a policy on social worker caseloads. I am further advised the Oranga Tamariki collective agreements with the PSA and NUPE include a protocol for monitoring and supporting manageable workloads.
