60120 (2024). Arena Williams to the Minister for Building and Construction: Can the Minister explain why he instructed MBIE officials to "move forward" with returning energy efficiency standards to previous levels, despite advice that the pre-2023 standards were "significantly lower" than those in countries with similar climates?

Hon Chris Penk: The government has made no decisions in relation to the H1 Energy Efficiency standards. Consultation is currently underway. My number one focus as Minister is making it easier and cheaper to build so kiwis can access affordable, quality housing.
