60093 (2024). Ingrid Leary to the Minister for Mental Health: Does the Minister agree with the Cure Kids State of Child Health in Aotearoa New Zealand report 2023 recommendation of Investment into child and youth mental health services that is proportional to the population; if so, what, if anything, will he do to address this?

Hon Matt Doocey: Strengthening the focus on prevention and early intervention is one of my priorities for the mental health and addiction portfolio. I have set a target that 25% of the ring-fenced funding for mental health and addiction funding will be dedicated to prevention and early intervention. This will include support for children and young people.
