60092 (2024). Ingrid Leary to the Minister for Mental Health: Does the Minister agree with the Cure Kids State of Child Health in Aotearoa New Zealand report 2023 recommendation for quality research into effective treatment strategies, service delivery, and prevention methods that ‘stem the tide’ of increasing population-level distress; if so, what, if anything, is he doing to address this?

Hon Matt Doocey: I am advised that the Ministry of Health and Health New Zealand are involved in a number of child and youth mental health related research projects, including Growing Up in New Zealand and the Youth Health and Wellbeing Survey. The Ministry of Health also administer the New Zealand Health Survey.
