60078 (2024). Teanau Tuiono to the Minister of Defence: What advice, reports, briefings, aide memoires, or any other documents, by title and date, if any, has the Minister received since 27 November 2023 about Operation Olympic Defender?

Hon Judith Collins: The Ministry of Defence and NZDF provided briefings regarding Olympic Defender to support my travel to the United States over 2-14 April 2024, and for the 2024/25 Estimates Review hearing for Vote Defence and Vote Defence Force in June 2024. Defence agencies also provided material to support Cabinet’s August 2024 consideration of the invitation to join the US-led multinational space initiative Operation Olympic Defender and the subsequent public announcement - Proposed New Zealand Defence Force Participation in Operation Olympic Defender to Secure Space Capabilities and Services.
