60065 (2024). Hon Dr Deborah Russell to the Minister of Revenue: How much additional revenue, if any, will be raised if the draft interpretation statement “GST treatment of fees paid in relation to managed funds” is finalised in its current form?

Hon Simon Watts: Officials advise the fiscal implications of finalising the Commissioner’s draft interpretative view are unclear because limited information is currently available on the impact of the interpretation. Submissions on the draft interpretation which are due on 25 October 2024 will allow the managed funds industry to inform Inland Revenue about how they could be impacted.
