59949 (2024). Dr Tracey McLellan to the Associate Minister of Health: Have final decisions been made on potential changes to the funding model for residential aged care as part of the Aged are Funding and Service Models Review

Hon Casey Costello: No final decisions have yet been made. I am advised that Health New Zealand will work with nominated stakeholders from across aged care services; people who use those services, and aged care experts to design options based on engagement feedback, advice from health experts, and supply and demand modelling. Those options will need to be approved by Health NZ's Executive Leadership Team and Commissioner before being brought to me for further consideration.
