59890 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister for Trade: What is the total sum, if any, of redundancy payments made to staff at ministries, departments and agencies, if any, for which the Minister is responsible during the period 27 November 2023 - 17 September 2024, by month and agency?

Hon Todd McClay: For the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT) I refer the member to the response to WPQ 59806 (2024). I am advised that New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE) have paid $414,077 in redundancy payments as part of the 2024 cost savings change process. A monthly breakdown is not provided in accordance with Speaker's Ruling 199/6.
