59889 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister for Trade: What is the total sum, if any, of projected future spend on redundancy payments to staff at ministries, departments and agencies, if any, for which the Minister is responsible as at 17 September 2024, by month and agency?

Hon Todd McClay: For the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT) I refer the member to the response to WPQ 59805 (2024). I am advised that New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE) have a projected future spend on redundancy payments of $223,400 as part of the 2024 cost savings change process. A monthly breakdown is not provided in accordance with Speaker's Ruling 199/6.
