59877 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister for Social Development and Employment: What is the total sum, if any, of projected future spend on redundancy payments to staff at ministries, departments and agencies, if any, for which the Minister is responsible as at 17 September 2024, by month and agency?

Hon Louise Upston: I am advised that the Ministry of Social Development (the Ministry) is currently finalising a change process that included four business groups having a proposed net reduction of 86 positions. Until the Ministry completes the change reassignment/redeployment processes, the total costs for any redundancies will not be known. I am also advised that the Independent Children's Monitor has no projected future spend on redundancy payments to staff as at 17 September 2024.
