59857 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Police: What is the total sum, if any, of projected future spend on redundancy payments to staff at ministries, departments and agencies, if any, for which the Minister is responsible as at 17 September 2024, by month and agency?

Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised that Police has no projected future spend on redundancy payments to staff as at 17 September 2024. In regard to the Serious Fraud Office (SFO), I am advised that as at 17 September 2024, the SFO is consulting on a change proposal under which 12 roles would be disestablished (5 of which are currently vacant), and six new roles would be created. As this process is still underway, it is not in the public interest for details about possible future spending on payments to potentially affected staff to be disclosed.
