Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister for Māori Development: What is the total sum, if any, of redundancy payments made to staff at ministries, departments and agencies, if any, for which the Minister is responsible during the period 27 November 2023 - 17 September 2024, by month and agency?

Hon Tama Potaka: I am advised by Te Puni Kōkiri that between 27 November 2023 and 17 September 2024 $997,954 has been paid in staff redundancies. Payments were made between June 2024 - August 2024 as a result of the Fiscal Sustainability and Effectiveness change process.
