Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Local Government: What is the total sum, if any, of redundancy payments made to staff at ministries, departments and agencies, if any, for which the Minister is responsible during the period 27 November 2023 - 17 September 2024, by month and agency?

Hon Simeon Brown: As the Minister for Local Government, I am not responsible for any Departments. In respect to Water Services Authority – Taumata Arowai as an agency, I am the total sum of redundancy payments made to staff at the Water Services Authority - Taumata Arowai from 27 November 2023 to 17 September 2024 is $111,652.37. These payments were made in June, July and September 2024. To protect privacy of individuals, the information has not been provided by month due to the low number of redundancies involved.
