59821 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Housing: What is the total sum, if any, of projected future spend on redundancy payments to staff at ministries, departments and agencies, if any, for which the Minister is responsible as at 17 September 2024, by month and agency?

Hon Chris Bishop: The Ministry of Housing and Urban Development has projected redundancy costs of approx. $153,000, to be paid in December 2024. The Ministry of Housing and Urban Development and Kāinga Ora - Homes and Communities cannot project the future spend on redundancy payments for change processes currently in train or any soon to be underway.
